Hey guys. So I got an order in for Bru-1 hops and some Citra.
I'm gonna do a Hazy IPA (no wheat) with mainly Voyager Veloria malt, maybe some oats (but probably not), and some gladiator.
Very simple grain bill, I want the hops to shine.
My problem is I haven't used Bru-1 before. I feel like they are similar to Galaxy with the potential of adding a nice candied pineapple aroma / taste.
So, I'm going all whirlpool and dry hops.
What ratios would you use with Citra and maybe even Galaxy?
I'm thinking 50:40:25 C / G / B1 for whirlpool and then same again for a dry hop once I hit 1.020 SG.
Pairing with London Ale III
Anyone used Bru-1? I haven't found many recipes and the ones I did were either SMaSH or single hop. Most agreed it needs to blend and doesn't stand up well on its own
