Nice one Paul but I see youve dropped the wheat percentage, any reason for that?

Heres the one you had the other day for comparison. I wouldnt normally add the crystal but had it hanging around and the gravity also blew right out, normally aim for 1.048-50.

Might have to brew a Stout tommorrow. Gotta love a public holiday.

Cheers

Never mind what I'm brewing but what I'm drinking is quite remarkable:

toucan of 2xCoopers Stout
1kg Dex
1kg LDME
Nottingham yeast

A handful of something chucked in at day 6 of fermentation, Styrian Goldings from memory. Anyway I gave Ross and Chappo a bottle of each to take home and sample, and this afternoon cracked one with The Big Burper who lives a couple of blocks away on Bribie Island here, and sipping another one cautiously at the moment (9% ABV) and it's bloody lovely despite only ten days in the bottle. Yesterday Ross suggested I should put it in the State comp as a Russian Imperial Stout. No way, thought I, but after a first taste, I tell you what :icon_drool2:

Blame Ross - it went on to the Nats and ended up mid field inthe RIS :p

I'll be brewing a low alcohol beer tomorrow. Should be in the bottle for BABBs next week to put in the State comp.
