Thanks for the last 20 odd posts guys... you've made this thread great

A 1 or 2 post joke is good but to destroy a thread with spam isnt on! I enjoyed coming back to this thread every year and see what Ive brewed but now I couldnt be assed wading through the shit.

May have a stab at caramelising some 1st runnings. Never used the brambling x before, the pack has been in my freezer for a long long time.
Ooh, just read the cosmic psychos are playing tuesday night, this may not happen.....

Never mind what I'm brewing but what I'm drinking is quite remarkable:

toucan of 2xCoopers Stout
1kg Dex
1kg LDME
Nottingham yeast

A handful of something chucked in at day 6 of fermentation, Styrian Goldings from memory. Anyway I gave Ross and Chappo a bottle of each to take home and sample, and this afternoon cracked one with The Big Burper who lives a couple of blocks away on Bribie Island here, and sipping another one cautiously at the moment (9% ABV) and it's bloody lovely despite only ten days in the bottle. Yesterday Ross suggested I should put it in the State comp as a Russian Imperial Stout. No way, thought I, but after a first taste, I tell you what :icon_drool2:
