You've got to admit though.. the proportion of Dodgey old uncles who's name is Barry is statistically higher than it should be

Ben's a nice guy and it is hard to imagine the words Ben Kraus and arrogant in the same breath, so I'm pretty sure he didn't mean it to come out like it has been interpreted.

But lets not forget that this is a forum generally populated by pretty hardcore homebrewers and micro's.

Lets also remember that over 70% of homebrewers (yes 70%, but the number is slowly declining thanks to sites like this) make their own beer because it's cheaper. And by cheap I mean Can+Sugar+Water.

I mean how many homebrew shop owners out here have to endure the same sort of punishment every week from that Ben does?

Homebrewing is definitely improving, and with access to better ingredients and lots of knowledge from places like this it will get better and better.

Anyone can make beer as defined by the food code, it's just sometimes unfortunate that sometimes...anyone does.
