BrewCellar 23L Kegs - Any good?

Anyone use these wider kegs?

I'm planning a new setup and the dimensions of these will fit my prefered fridge setup better (plus the extra brewery-bling factor!), but Ive heard concerns about the other non-ruberised kegs not being rated for enough pressure (warnings not to force carb, etc) / no good build quality etc. Anyone have experience with these?

Is there a PRV on the top - can't tell from the picture?

How much are they?

I've seen them around for ~$180, so not cheap. Will consider paying the premium if they are good though, cos they will make my fridge much more functional. I believe they have a PRV on the lid.

If that is indeed the case (looks like there is something there with a ring on it) you should be OK force carbing

other non-ruberised kegs

I have 'other' non-rubberised kegs, and they're just as good as the rubberised ones.

I've had one for about 6 years.
Never had a problem with it.
It is a 23 litre jigger.

I have a second hand 23 litre that I use as a fermentor.

It's fine.
