OK, I am planning an end of honours brew, and I am wanting some suggestions. I want it to be all grain.

The name needs to be a play on my supervisor's name- Michael Sullivan. It also needs to be something that would appeal to someone who likes Coopers Pale Ale.

Cheers!

Dave

how about "Michael Sullivan's Aussie Pale Ale"

edit: you can't go wrong!

Hmm, maybe. Maybe something that plays with his name a little more? I'd probably still make an aussie pale ale, but even if the name has no relevance to the beer type it'll be good.

Cheers,

Dave

C'mon dude!!

You're the honours student!!

How about "Sullivans Salutations Ale"? I am guessing we like the dude

Best of luck :beerbang:

After years of study it would be: " Mick, Stick it up your Pale Ale Sullivan" :p

Maybe that's the problem Jez, the thinking cap might be too tight.

How about you make an special occasion beer like an Oktoberfest to commemerate when your studies finish - you can call it...

Mikes Sullifest or a Moktoberfest...

You will need Franko to make some stickers and Warb to print them so that you can label the stubbies etc...

Then you can also put one of the stickers on a nice glass so he has something to drink it out of.

Aussie pale ale.

this got 1st place NSW state champs pale ale catagory and 4th AABC pale ale catagory.

scored about 130 out of 150 i think

95% JW ale malt
5% JW wheat malt
(if you wnat it a bit lighter use 50/50 JW pils nad ale as the base)

POR flowers half FWH
other half 60 min boil

boil for 75 min

1.048 - 1.050, 25-27 IBU

BRew with either US-56 or equivilent american yeast for a clean neutral beer
brew with 1318 (this is what won in the comps) 1275 (mmmmm) or 1335 for a bit more character.

easy drinking sumer ale that is so easy it almost sounds crap.

cheers

How about a combination of:

Mikey's Michael's Mike's

Malted Marvellous Mini Mischevious Miscreant Misunderstood Mishappen Murderous

Masterpiece Malt Mistake Madman

What is it an honours in? A BA?

MSBAPA

Michale Sullivan's (weak I know)

It's for International Studies; majoring in International Relations

I don't think I'll bore you all with the content of my thesis.

Keep the ideas comin!

If he's a Blackadder fan:

MS Incredibly Strong Ale (so strong it's crippling, like MS)...apologies to anyone with MS in the family, of course.

If not a Blackadder fan: maybe "Sullivan's GAP" (grand Aussie Pale).

Seth out :p
