Anyone else a fan? Goes down so well on a warm day (or during a warm night), but it seems like there is something missing?

My brother handed me one of these at his place on Christmas day. I am NOT a fan. There is a lot missing and what is there is not that great. Back when those guys started out there were some good brews in the range. IMHO, nowadays it is just megaswill.

I agree it has fallen down lately. In the early days it was quite nice. Reckon there is alot of sugar in the fermentables now.

But on a 40*C day, served ice cold... does the trick

Also not a fan. Was drinking it alongside other premium beers such as JS Golden Ale and Sundown Lager, as well as Barons Lager and LC Bright Ale. Bluetounge Premium was definitely the tailend of that group, and I would go as far to say that it is a fairly average beer full stop.

Cheers - boingk

Not a fan of their lager but theie pilsener is much nicer with some real bitterness.
Although it has been a while since I've bought any.
Cheers, Adam

I had this on tap earlier this year and found it to be heavy in diacetyl. It was significant enough for me to consider it a major fault.

What do you expect from a Coca Cola product? I didn't mind it last year, and had a couple of bottles at the RSL when the draught system failed a few months ago and found it was still a pleasant brew with a hoppy nose reminiscent of euro beers, and definitely different to VB or XXXX. However with the company building the second biggest brewery in NSW and presumably about to flood the market - then I expect they will dumb down all their products and probably all end up tasting like MaXX Blonde.

Bluetongue seems to change a lot of things, a lot of the time. I had a few lagers about a year ago and I swear they tasted A LOT different to the ones I had recently.

Also, I think I'm getting a little bored of it? Guessing because it's nothing too special.
