Hi all,

Looking at getting Beersmith and I have just done my first BIAB beer.
Are there enough options in the program to provide a correct assessment of recipes etc. using this style of brewing?

Thanks in advance, Tribalfish. :icon_cheers:

Sure is, many people who BIAB use Beersmith.
BIAB is simply another AG method so will work with any software and any recipe, of course you would not use the sparge etc options.

There are some comments in the BIAB thread about setting up, I'll try and find it if I can, otherwise just set it to your equipment.

Thanks wambesi :icon_chickcheers:

I've gone ahead and registered the program. There's some pretty cool stuff to play with.
SWMBO reckons I spend too much time infront of the computer now!!
I'll be needing glasses for my square eyes by the end of the week!

You sure you live in SA? That sounds like my other half ;)
It's a tops program, alot of stuff to play with and keep you entertained. That and AHB won't leave you much time to brew let alone lead a "normal life"!

Only big problem I had, other then the problems that have been brought up on this forum, is there is no way to adjust the amount of water the grain sucks up. So any water calculations will be off. I just used it to help figure the recipe. Then did the water calculations myself. Dont like that so I am looking for a different program.
