I am wanting to move on from kits (brewed 3-4 with good results) and have seen recipes that use safale us-05 yeast. I have some safale US-04. I understand...i think ..that there is no issue in using the US-04 but will it mak a noticable difference and if so what will it be.

cheers

S-04 is an English ale yeast, so it won't give the same flavours as the US05

S-04 tends to bring out Malty flavours
US05 is quite clean and brings out the hops
So it all depends on what flavours you want to get out of your beer
