Whats the go here?

I just opened a bottle of my lager which is probably about 6 weeks old, which had been sitting at the back of my fridge for about 2 weeks. It tastes alot better than the ones that havnt been in the fridge. The flavours are much more well rounded and balanced. In fact it tastes bloody nice!!!!!

Is this some sort of cold conditioning process happening

Sure is, lager is meant to be "lagered" or cold conditioned. Have a read about lagering at www.howtobrew.com

except I made its a coopers heritage lager and uses an ale yeast. Does that matter?

Every beer I make tastes better the longer it stays in the fridge...and I almost always make ales :chug:
