Awesome, gotta get one. :)
Now, how did you remove the urn tap and with what degree of difficulty?

That's the thing that has always deterred me from attempting to fit a ball lock.

I'd read they were hard to get off. Mine came off relatively easy with just a spanner on the inside nut ( didn't even need one the the outside).

Then the thread of the old tap is 1/2" BSP, I wanted stainless threaded pipe and are planning to get some but all I could lay my hands on at short notice and relatively cheaply(ie free) was brass. So no need to drill a hole.

1 x 3 piece staino ball valve $24
2 x staino backing nuts $5.50
1 x 1/2" staino barb $5
2 x nylon washers $3

add a bit of thread tape and the job was done

also got
1 x 3pce ball valve repair kit $4.50
1 x staino camlock dustcap for kettle when not in use $11.50

to come
1 x staino camlock male fitting for ball valve $12.50
1 x staino camlock female fitting for my hose $12.50
