Cooked up a christmas beer the other day, and just pitched the yeast last night. Ambient temp in my house overnight was about 25c. It was a bit frothy this morning. So probably started up.

Anyone see any issues with a few hours at this temp?

The recipe:
4kg pale malt
15g Chinook (60 min)
US-05 yeast

Ended up with 18 litres of 1.042 wort.

(scales broke though, so anywhere between 3 and 4kg malt and about 15g hops)

Well now sitting at 15deg under my house. Damn sydney weather.

Now sitting at 1.004 probably fg.

Tastes potty good for a first attempt at a beer for the masses. Az gave me instructions to make something like a TED. I said no. But i agreed i'd try and make a lightly hopped dry beer.

Great success!
