I am just starting back into partials after taking a break for a few months and moving. Can any experienced brewers tell me if this will be ok? I have already made it so here's hoping!!

2006 Australia Day Ale

Partial Mash,
1.5kg Maltcraft traditional ale,
1kg Baird's Maris Otter,
500g Maltcraft light crystal,
1.5kg unhopped pale extract.

Steep @ 67degC for 60mins.

American Mt Hood AAU=3.7
35g@90mins,
22g@30min,
wirfloc@15min,
25g@5min.

Aiming for around 23IBU (23 litres).

Wyeast liquid 1098 British Ale yeast from starter.

90 min boil.

It is still cooling down so I am unsure of the SG yet.

My calculations say 23.4 IBU, 1.049 SG, around 4.7 ABV. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Ahh goodo. After cooling the wort overnight I have pitched the yeast.

SG 1.042 which may be a little low. Would this indicate ineffeficiency during crush/steep/boil?

Also .. can someone please tell me how to calculate what the expected ABV will be? I have the hop calculation already.

For rough guide on ABV - just remove the 10 from your SG - IE 1042 = 4.2%
