What is your "break material problem"? I assume that's you not being ablke to separate/drop out and leave behind break in your kettle? I don't think a conical fermenter is going to solve that?

Can't I drop cold break via the bottom valve ,allowing the break to settle and before pitching yeast??

Cold break gets eaten up and is good for the yeast I thought? Its hot break/proteims you want to discard

I like the idea of a conical and the price is in my ballpark. Finally I could solve my break material problem, as I have given up on the illusive whirlpool cone. Anybody used or heard anything about this ??

Nice bit of kit. Was looking at that this morning...

If you are having trouble leaving the hot break/trub behind in the kettle, use a pick-up tube that will collect the wort from close to the kettle wall and also raise it off the bottom a little, also use a slow flow rate when drawing your wort

What about the new problem of controlling fermentation temps?
At 81 cm height, (not counting the funky air lock) good luck finding a fridge to squeeze that sucker in. For perspective, I think cornys are round the 65 cm mark.

There are a few plastic conical threads on here if you use the google search on plastic conical. Here's one, although not the same one you're thinking of buying:

Someone, maybe the same guy, used one as a pressurized fermentor and I think he talks about it in one of the "fermenting under pressure" threads, but I couldn't find it.
