Vortex, take a deep breath mate. Yes I do use oxygen, so I feel very fortunate not to meet your definition an idiot. My gadget comment was in response to Poto4x comment about the oxygen flow meter being a gadget (which I just bought BTW). So mate stop reading more into what is said in the post.

I haven't used my O2 system for a while, I used to weigh the cylinder on the kitchen scales and work out ppm of oxygen in the volume of wort. It's probably a bit more accurate than flow.

I don't have one, but that's a great way to do it.
