I had my first all grain day with Andrew on the weekend and got a bit inspired. The tops came off the vessels easily enough. The boiler is ready and now I'm after a kettle element and some polycarbonate for a sight glass to finish off the HLT.

The mash tun is a hand me down esky from Andrew that I am still working on.

How is it lookin so far?

Sight glass can wait, all you need is a stick of some sort (preferably HDPE or S/S) with some level markings. Brew now and finish your gear off later!

Yep, you've seen it done, now just go do it with what you've got.
Times a'wastin, real beer from grains is in your grasp, do it grasshopper.

just dont forget to take the boiler and burner off the cardboard boxes when you brew :)

I knew somebody would mention the dishes it's sitting on. Anybody want some? They aren't too singed yet.

How do they work with 802.11? The helical coils I built a couple of years ago only get me a couple of kilometres...

i love you I.T. nerds :)

Special AHB deal on dish thingys?
Can I get a decent freakin' radio station on one? All I can get is crap here.

I am not an IT nerd. I'm a dum cable pulling sat installer. I don't even know what a helical coil is!

I do know that if you have Austar you can get JJJ on the radio channels through it though.
