Hi,

I'm looking at brewing this recipe. I was thinking about replacing the UK Pale Malt with enough Not For Horses Ale (Launceston Tas Boutique maltster) to get about 1060 OG then make up the rest of the gravity with LDME.

What are your thoughts? Will it be lacking anything in a beer this big?

I've only seen it in LHBS down here

Which means the answer will probably only be known by brewers down here.
I haven't tried it yet so not me.

Went to his website, no sign of anything even vaguely resembling a COA, so cant answer, cant even make an educated guess more accurate than that unless it was complete crap it should be fine as a 1:1 replacement.
I would be much more concerned with a replacement for the "Belgian caramel Vienna malt" no idea what that is meant to be.
