A Sad Story

Last night around 3am i awoke to silence. "That's odd", thinks I, "there's no airconditioner noise". A quick glance around the room revealed no power at all. "Oh well, power must be out". Back to sleep.
Awake to the child around 7am, still no power."odd" thinks me. Out i go to check the meter board. ELB has tripped. "HMMMMMMMM". Strange.
Come home today, putting some yeast in the fridge, "Gee, it's not really cold in here".. Uh Oh..... Quick, check the freezer... defrosted. "Oh ****" says I..... Check beer.. Warm "Oh F*&%" says I....
Keg fridge has crapped itself :blink: :angry:
Quick, move yeast and hops to another fridge.....Bugger!
Now i'm on the hunt for a new cooling device. Oh well, at least now i can get a freezer past the finance ministry... :huh:

I feel for you Fixa. I went down to my Man shed today and it is full of FLEAS - I knew this because of the 50 or so of the buggers that landed on my ankles in seconds. I'll need to move a full fermenter, crates of tallies and all my clean brewing kit. :angry:

Hi Paleman, if I gave you half my spiders I'd still be overrun with them - mostly happy huntsmans though. The rats (wintertime) try to eat through the lid if a garbage bin holding the dog food, but leave the brewing kit alone thank goodness.

I'd rather have spiders and fleas and rats than a mate next door drinking it all!

I'd take the spiders over the fleas anyday. Spiders only bite you if you piss them off.
And I'm arachnaphobic - not afraid of killing them though!

Happy ending;
picked up a second hand 250 litre (i think) freezer for $150...
Fits 5 kegs with ease. I'll consider it an upgrade! LOL... now just need to find a new home for the hops......
