A man has been charged over the theft of almost 100 fridges worth $150,000 from Sydney's south-west.
Police allege the 34-year-old Canley Vale man received 48 refrigerators from two trailer loads, containing 98 fridges, that were stolen from Prestons between February 27 and March 1.
The man was stopped by police as he drove through the Lansvale area about noon yesterday.
Police allegedly found eight stolen fridges in the truck and later recovered a further 40 fridges during a raid on a storage facility on the Hume Highway at Lansvale.
The man was charged with receiving stolen goods and recklessly dealing in the proceeds of crime.
He was refused police bail and was due to appear at Liverpool Local Court today.
Last night investigators found a second stash of fridges while searching a property on Pratten Road at Kemps Creek.
All the stolen fridges have now been found, police said.
The arrest was part of a police taskforce set up to investigate the theft of prime movers, trailers and shipping containers as well as their contents.
Police urged anyone with information about the theft of any of the above items to contact their local police stations or detectives via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
