This is a mill I made from an old washing mangle. She works a treat, though it is hard to crank <_<

The rollers are metal pipe which were pushed over the old rubber ones. The hopper is made from an old laundry cabinet.

I have a brand new handle for a mill like that......... I used it once.

I got a motor!

Much better.

Great work mate....... what a fantastic idea and will work well for you for a long time to come.

I love the ideas that come in on here sometimes.

cheers

Nothing like a few Homebrews to turn anything into something brew related. :)

Great stuff! Hard to crank....maybe you need to pull the whole thing apart (if you can) and carefully clean all the drive gears and the bearings, give them all a fresh coat of lubricant as well. I am guessing that the bearings (bushes?) are pretty bound up given its age.
