I'd always thought those stem adaptors were for sleeving a tube over? do they fit into another push fitting? and seal ok?

If they do, it's just what i want.

they certainly do, and in fact I believe that is what they are designed for.

All I need is one in 3/8" female threaded, perpetually sold out on CB it seems.
