I got one for $100 also but that was a few months ago.. Don't think they move to well.. Converted mine into a charcoal smoker, pissed off the gas unit.

Might go check out Coffs and Toormina Aldi tomorrow to see if they have any more

I highly rate em sp0rk, specially for the price. Use it shitloads. I wouldn't change it from gas, cheaper and easier with LPG.

bugger...i bought mine for $200 a month ago..
HOWEVER
It was out the back and i had to ask for it....so if you go to Aldi and they don't have any on display...ask if they have them...and sey they are now selling for $100

Hmmm they had one at my local still on display, I didn't check the price though. Might go back tomorrow and see if it's dropped to 100! And if not, I'll keep an eye on it.

Bundy aldi gives me the *****, last three times they had these in the catalogue they only got 3 in and here in bundy catalogue day is retiree day, they line up from 6.30am and buy out everything in the catalogue.
Last time I asked if I could pay up front in full to reserve a smoker for me, no, I'm sorry sir in doesn't appear on our system until late friday night.

I suggested to Mrs sp0rk I could buy one...
Yeah, I don't like my chances of survival if I bring home a 3rd smoker/bbq

Your right about it being cheaper, although a mate and I got a nearly full pallet of charcoal from bunnings on a great deal since it was sitting on the floor being marked down and marked down then went out the back. Then we just asked where the pallet went and got the rest for $2 a box. still got some.

Score!

Got one from burnside in Melbourne yesterday had to ask for it as they were out the back got to register and it scanned at 200 I told them other stores doing for 100 and they discounted it for me sweet!

What a great piece of kit they are! Use mine all the time, mostly brew day.

Only problem with gas is it takes a while to get the temp right. Just keep an eye on it for the first hour and then will stabilize.

Enjoy smoker your meat lads!

Got one. Thanks Doon.

Point cook - don't have any
Sunshine - have 2, unwilling to discount
Burnside - still have 2 left out the back and will discount

Nice so the four that were on the floor just got stuck out back

Picked up one for the outlaws and myself from aldi Forest Hill vic for $100 each. Score !!!!
There is still at least one left there.

Andrew, I've been told your best bet is to go there just before closing on friday night when they are getting all the new stock out.

The mounting screws for the burning assembly seems a bit dodgy. The screws don't have a backing bolt on it. They seem to hold the burning assembly to the body by having some sideways tension against the hole. I think if you push down on the burner from inside, it'll pop out.
