What size are you after, you are comparing a 20L against a 12L. For a normal full size fermenter you can't beat a square Bunnings fermenter.

I'm actually after a smaller size fermenter (~10 liters) but then I found that one on eBay and thought it was pretty neat.

I'm looking at those eBay ones as well. It claims "Negligible oxygen permeability".

Problem is, I don't want to age a lambic in it for a year to find out it's no good.

Is all PET similar for oxygen permeability?
Wikipedia claims: "For certain specialty bottles, PET sandwiches an additional polyvinyl alcohol layer to further reduce its oxygen permeability"
The ad says: "Made from special PET" but no more information on what this means.

I also can't find this product for sale anywhere else to see if they have any more information.

Looks like even normal PET lets in 10x less oxygen then HDPE:

Edit: If you're not looking for a better-bottle for long-term storage, just go with a HDPE bunnings fermenter like many of us currently use.

Yeah, I'm not gonna age anything longer than a couple of weeks in them.
