    I would nt go opening the brew too much...An airlock does not always have to bubble to proove fermentation has begun. Use the hydromemter to define drops in sg. Sounds like its going to turn out...best of luck

    Well first choice (owned by coles) is the only brew store around me locally that stock it. And 80 was a bit high..I ll keep looking. Thats right hide this stuff dont encourage any mates to try it they will drink it on you hide from the swill!! regards

    The use of Hops in this brew have left me undecided. There are opinions for fuggles, saaz and gouldings in the beer. Spoke to my local brew man and he said not to use extra hops and consintrate on getting the spices at the right dose

    I tryed the witbier Hoegaarden. Pronounced who-garden. The beer is fantastic. I was wondering if anyone out there has a recipe for the belgium white beer. It is expensive and hard to come by so making my own would be great. thanks guys :ph34r:

    1st Brew Day Questions.

    measure how much water goes into 7 trays of ice cubes and place the ice cubes in the wort before the yeast is pitched. Take a thermometer reading and try and get the wort no higher than 25 deg cel. The ice cubes help. Place the fermenter in the laundry. best of luck

    But making your own fermenter....half the fun! And honestly half the stuff in the micro kits I d buy from the local brew shop bloke (like thermomiter and hydrometer) which alot of old brewers dont use...and a video who does that its so 80's vhs.
