    Gluten Free Lager

Hi, I want to do a brew for a mate who has Coeliacs. I'm thinking of doing an experimental brew using Breiss Sorghum, rice malt, corn malt and dextrose and using Hallertau and Tettenanger hops. Does any one have a suggestion for the lager yeast. I want to try and create an easy to drink lager...

Hello people, has any one used the Wyeast 3638 and if so, where can I get my hands on some. I am in Perth (Beldon) and plan to make a hefe (and as I only do mini biab at this stage, will re use the yeast). Cheers

    Yeast and Gelatine

Hello, I want to use gelatine in my current brew, but also want to re-use my yeast. Does the gelatine inhibit this by encapsulating the yeasts or does it simply attach and sink, being able to be seperated when rinsing?

    Caramel Blonde Ale

This was supposed to be a blonde ale, but I boiled it hard for the first 10 minutes and it has a wonderful caramel flavour. Fermented at 18c for 3 weeks and bottled with carb drops. Enjoy. Stu P.S. - If any can put this into the recipe database, go for it. It won't let me upload it for some...

    Will this recipe work?

Cheers. I've got a few leftovers laying around, but am out of yeast, so I came up with this recipe after drinking a few Hoegaardens the other arvo. I know that it wont be a proper wheat, I just want a hint of spice and fruit in the backround, and am intrigued at what the outcome may bring. Has...

    Re using yeast

I have an extract ale using S-04 in an FV at present. Can I bottle that beer and just pour my new wort (15 ibu cluster blonde ale) in there and give it a good stir to re-use the yeast, or is there a better way? Cheers Stu

    Help with Irish red recipe

G'day, here is what I have in mind for an Irish red. This was put together using Ian's spreadsheet. I used to quite enjoy Matilda Bay's Roof Top Red, (which I haven't seen in years), so I thought I'd give this a crack. This is my first beer not using a can as the base. Any suggestions or...

I went to my local Dan's last night (Currambine) to discover that they are out of Weihenstephan Hefe, so I purchased a sixpack of Scofferhofer. Not bad, but not as good as Weihenstephan. Can any one point me in the right direction of a good hefe? Cheers Stu

Hello, I'm new to this site and brewing in general and thought I'd have a crack at home brewing. I have just put down a ginger beer using a recipe I found on line and seems to be going well.
