    Looking For Some Extract Recipes.

Bit early for that! The stupid forum post editor was a bit screwy, hence the first post edit. Also, IsoHops are the devil. Discuss. I wonder how people make two-can recipes now, after finding out how much better home brew is without the kit can.

    Looking For Some Extract Recipes.

Grah, i dunno wtf happened to my post! Um, anyway, I've just tasted my first extract brew and it's turned out better then expected, so good in fact that i don't want to ever use the pre-hopped LME cans anymore. But, i'm after some new recipes. Does anybody have a good porter or stout recipe...

    Watered Down?

Help, I added water to my beer and now my beer is all watery... You'll forgive me for having a bit of a laugh at that one.

    First Partial

Highly recommended! Just do yourself a favour, if you haven't used finings before, do so with your extract brews.

    Recipe Feedback Please.

I ferment in a fridge, so approx 18-20 degrees. Just got a fridgemate too but I need to install it. I don't necessarily prefer S04 over US05, I'm happy to use whatever is appropriate, so thanks for the info. (Though for this batch it'll be S04 because I have some in the fridge) Either way...

    Recipe Feedback Please.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I think I agree with the caramalt being too much, I might get that back to 300g Can somebody explain the difference between S04 and US05 to me? I've used both and it seems that S04 makes a clearer beer, but US05 makes a more flavoursome beer. Is that right?

    Recipe Feedback Please.

Hi all, I'd like some feedback on a recipe i'm thinking of trying this week. It borrows a bit from Neill's Centenarillo Ale. Just with one can of LME and some grains that I already had around the brewery (aka kitchen). 1x Morgans Unhopped Extra Pale Liquid Malt Extract 500g Light dry malt...

    Kit And Extract Beer Spreadsheet

I'm also getting a little problem picking out hops for my recipe. For whatever reason I can't select some hops in the drop down box (for arguments sake I'll say Centennial) but I can see the hops listed in the "HOPS" tab. I'm working around the problem by just selecting another hop and...

    Real "golden" Ale

I'd personally only use one of the 740ml tubs of wheat extract. But I used drsmurto's golden ale reciepe which is a little different. :chug:

    My Beer Is Always Dark.

Thanks guys, looks like I am doing a few things to darken my brew (boiling the LME with my hops etc..) I usually pick out pale kits (current one is coopers pale ale), but after adding everything in I guess I expect the beer to be light like my fathers kit and kilo brews. (current batch and...

    My Beer Is Always Dark.

As the topic title says, each brew i bottle up and drink ends up being darker then expected. My usual brew includes: Beer Kit (pale ales usually) Pale liquid malt extract some crystal grain hops yeast That's about it. My last batch, a drsmurto golden ale is probably better described as a...

    Pretty Excited!

HAHA Congrats jbowers! I had a similar experience yesterday. Had a Aussie day BBQ at my place and of course had plenty of homebrew in the fridge. I've got 2 batches that i'm drinking atm and one that's still maturing. (a Dr Smurto Golden Ale!) After a couple of beers I decided to crack and...

    Beer Filter?

I um, err, I didn't, um, yeah, ah, err.... Yeah, didn't really think about Finings actually.... I haven't tried Finings as yet, i'll have to give it a crack... Though to be honest, the idea of running beer through a filter rather then adding yet more crap into my wort appeals. I...

    Beer Filter?

Hey Guys and Gals, I'm a frustrated with my last few batches of beer due to them being fairly cloudy. I'm just doing the kits and bits, but since introducing a lot of hops to my brews, i'm getting less clear beer and more sediment in my bottles. Once primary fermentation is complete, I rack...
