I'm in Mitcham, I have a 5kg ex fire extinguisher that I need filled, who goes where? Obviously it's not the swap n go type. Looking for a mix of cheap/close would rather spend the extra $10 if it saves me 30 minutes any suggestions appreciated :)

Keg King will fill them providing they are tested and in date. And the price is good but cant remember what it is exactly.
If not they can pressure test them for around $40 I think, but they have to be the tapered thread type. Thats the thread on the actual trigger mechanism that screws into the extinguisher has to be the tapered type.

I go to a place called Selby Safety in Wigan rd Bayswater.

They are a fire extinguisher place and refill my 6kg bottle and only charge me a dozen beers. Sadly they wont accept homebrew and only seem to want megaswill.

So if you can swallow you pride to actually buy a dozen Carlton Draught cans you will get you refill done pretty cheap.

I cant remember the guys name, he is really easy going - but ring first to tee it up. Ph no is 9762 6888.

When I first went (about 3 or 4 refills back) I asked about it being food grade and was advised yes. I havent asked again but I assume it still is. I think they get their bulk supply from Supagas so it is the same stuff they would refill you bottle with but charge you $50 for it.

Sweet thanks guys I'll check them out:)
