I remember reading somewhere that if you fill the copper pipe with sand it makes it easier to bend the angles. Haven't done it myself so can't guarantee it works. Anybody else know?

Yep works, but best on shorter lengths of pipe as on 18m of bent tubing getting all the sand in and out is a pain in the A. But, it does work well, really stops the kinking. 1/2" external pipe benders (just like a spring ) can be had for less than $10. Not sure how doing 18m would be but good for the ends as they are the only bit you end up having trouble with.

Do not under any circumstances get the sand wet.

I use a pipe bender for all the 90Deg. angles , you don't need it for the coil , your keg will do fine

In the piccy of my wort coil , the windows have cyclone shutters , stops big hunks of shit blowing through the glass during a cyclone.
This part of the coast , Exmouth to Broom get hit the most cyclones of any part of the world.
So that sould clear up the PM I recieved
