The Craphaus is the church of the beer gods pumpy.

Warren -

I must remind you Warren:-

Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image or any likeness of any thing that is in Heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate Me, and showing mercy unto thousands of them that love Me and keep My Commandments (Exo. 20:4-6).

Actually in England the Pub is always opposite or within a stones throw of the Church

pumpy :)

... who is (I am led to believe) good friends with Archbishop Humpy..

Easy SMOI .

Let us not wallow in the valley of despair. I say to you today my friends - so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.

I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal."

I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.

I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day down in Alabama, with its vicious racists, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words of interposition and nullification - one day right there in Alabama little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers.

Martin Luther King .

Most of my brew days are Tuesday mornings as I often work Tuesday nights... That said I work all over the week, so brew day is usually when I can fit it in.

Thermostat heats HLT while I sleep, so I mash it just after my eyes open, then either back to bed for cuddles with the Mrs or breakfast for 90mins.

Going to do a couple of double batches soon as I got a few new kegs over Christmas.

When I have a Monday off and am planning a brew. Everyone else is enjoying their Monday morning and I'm by the pool mashing a brew.

Otherwise Saturday close to lunchtime so I can listen to the continuous call team.

Cuddling Weetbix for 90 mins is really messy

Pumpy

Whenever I get the time, really. I ticked sunday because it's normally the best time to get someone to help me as well- people either have uni or work at other days, including me.

Thursday or Friday night for me...

SWMBO bar-wenches at a club those nights, so I have free reign to fill the brewery with as many funky malt and hoppy odours as I like.

I once made the mistake of brewing on a day with her in the house. She appeared half way through the boil. I guessed after her comment of "You aren't going to drink that vile smelling crap are you???" that she doesn't appreciate the ambiance as I do (or the apprentice brewer does) :p

I start at 7:30, finish at 11/11:30 and she gets home at 02:30

Heavenly!!! :super:

Festa..

Either Sat/Sun morning, early start, about 9am so that i'm finished by 1pm, or when i get home from work after cooking dinner, in which case i usually finish before 12am which isn't too far past my normal bedtime. Having a new bub in the house it probably makes sense to stay up late on a weeknight anyway.

Day or night on any day ending in a letter 'y'.

Whenever I have the opportunity and motivation (and ingredients).

Seth :p

What was the name of that movie?.....'On Any Sunday'.

Yah, Any Given Sunday.

I'm an at nighter, too busy on weekends. Get home around 7.00ish, make dinner, put kids to bed (all while water is heating). Mash asap etc.. Whilst mashig, do dishes, get some work done.

Cheers - Mieke

"Sunday Too Far Away"

This poll is irrelevant.

We all tend to mash when:
we have time
we run out of beer or
we have an empty fermenter.

Kit and kilo brewers can throw a brew together any spare hour.

As the working week moves away from Monday-Friday, thanks very much Mr Howard, the bias to Saturday and Sunday mashin becomes less.

I mash mostly in winter, a bit in autumn and spring, any day ending in y.

I've been known to assist some fermentation (using a G&G fresh wort kit) at 11pm at night (in bed 15 mins later!!).

Otherwise, mash-in tends to be as early as I can muster on Saturday morn. I really need to get a temp controller for my HLT, so I can have it ready for me the following morning...

Sat for me, Sunday is the day to enjoy the fruits of your labour.

I pick up my ingredients on Saturday and brew on Sunday.

I now brew a double batch about every 3 weeks (last brew was last week) but last night I hit the jackpot. SWMBO tried my latest APA and said Its too bitter. I saw my opening and went for the kill. Would you like me to brew something less bitter for you? Hook, line and sinker. I am brewing again this Sunday.

Dribble button off.
