What's Going Wrong Here

Well the Cal. yeast I did'nt like the smell of in the starter and threw it out !
The Pilsen , did the starter and broke that into four for the fridge , did a brew starter from one of those.
Now put it in a 2Lt coke bottle and released the pressure for a day or so then did a brew , about to add the starter , release pressure , give it a good shake , open up.........**** wore a bit of it , bit more around the wife kitchen , rest in the brew... OK

By the way the Pilsen pack puffed up the Cal did'nt , I think I had it to warm

Hope it works Batz. All of my starters have smelt lovely and have done the job. Thats a good warning about shaking a coke bottle full of active starter. I happened to be standing beside the stereo at the time and a good proportion of my lovingly cultured yeast went all over the amp. Tip most of liquid into brew, THEN swirl and shake to get the yeast off the bottom, and pour rest into brew.
