In my field there is a big US based annual conference that I attend. Now at that conference some bright sparks decided to put together a craft brew reception along with all of the other snobby publisher and other receptions that are on. Last years was quite spectacular with beers from all over the world.

The general rule is that you bring one or two bottles of high quality brew, preferably local to where you live. So last year i brought a bottle of Hargreaves Hill Abbey Dubbel, while one of the NZ guys brought some Moa.

However, this year i want to do something a bit more special, and im planning on brewing something as well as bringing something, and im entertaining suggestions for both. Im struggling a bit for what to take, as many of the Australian breweries have picked up on the US craft brew scene, and so are full of hop forward IPAs. But being a US based conference (was in San Diego last year) there are tons of hop forward IPAs floating around. Heck we had a case of Arrogant ******* and a case of Sculpin IPA just thrown in by one publisher last year.
Hence im thinking something a bit different.

So what would you bring for such a meet? Ill put up some photos of what we drank last time for comparison.

Ok, here is what we had last year, to give you an idea of the range:
