The great Dickey Betts, founding member of the Allman Brothers Band, passed away two weeks ago at age 80.
A brilliant songwriter and guitarist, he helped create the Southern Rock sound that influenced a broad spectrum of other musicians and genres.
In tribute, Billy Strings closed out a recent concert by playing Dickey Betts’ composition Ramblin’ Man with a typically awesome lead break.
And when it's time for leavin'
I hope you'll understand
That I was born a ramblin' man.
