Hey all.

Sorry to ask what might be a silly question, the search function wouldn't allow me to searc 'type s' because the words need to be more than three letters long.

Anyway, I've got my sisters 21st coming up. We've decided to use my kegerator purchased from 'Pinnacle Wholesalers' with a 50L keg of Boags Draught/Carlton Draught inside to keep the people beered up.

I got a 'Type S' coupler with the kegerator. Would that fit onto the Boags/Carlton keg?

Here is the coupler...

If it doesn't fit, anyone keen to loan a CUB coupler in SE Melbourne?? I'm sure we could arrange some sort of alcoholic restitution.

I'd rather borrow one, only using it once for the party and can't really justify spending $$$ for one night.

Yeah, we've sourced a keg from the local RSL.

I am just wondering if the 'Type S' coupler will fit on the CUB keg.

Does a 50 l keg fit in the Pinnacle things? I thought they were designed for 30 l kegs? Havent tried it though, could be wrong.

That looks like a CUB connector as I remember them from my pub days.

Interestingly the product is no longer on the pinnacle wholesalers site......

It should have two bits sticking out that look like a chunky thread (crappy description I know), these lock into the top of the CUB kegs when you twist them on and then the handle depresses the valve on the top of the keg.

Not quite - CUB kegs are 'D' type. S type are only used in Europe, but appear here on some imported kegs eg Becks etc. They do look similar but the S type has longer 'prongs'.

They are not interchangeable and show the problems of buying imported equipment without doing the research first.

HTH,
Dave

i have one your welcome to borrow , but im in the western suburbs ...
