Using a sight glass fitting as a bulkhead

I'm wanting to use this as a bulkhead on my urn. There isn't a huge amount of thread to fit my ball valve, but I think I can make it work.

The only issue I have is I am planning to pump out of this outlet to recirc and whirlpool. I am worried that pumping out of this will suck air in through the top of the sight glass tube.

Has anyone here tried this?

Yes the sight tube needs to have its own dedicated erea as it runs amuk when shared . cheers

Thanks for the advice.

I kind of figured this and went with a separate bulkhead and sight tube.

Used a Crown urn replacement tube and elbow. Cost me $19 from GG.
