I used to drink Coopers Kit Ginger Beer years ago.
just very simple, Can of wort, Kit yeast and 2kg of white sugar.
Have just opened the first bottle of my recent batch, same recipe, except I tossed the kit yeast for the 71B I've been using in my cider,
And it's very sweet.
I never remember the Coopers being that sweet, but my tastes have changed.
Is it more likely to simply be the kit and that's the way it is with lots of unfermentables, or has my substitution of the yeast added to the issue?
Good news is, mixing it 50:50 with my latest batch of cider gives a very pleasant combination and should work well as my Apple + Ginger Cider
