Anyone got any tips on how to transfer from a keg to a swing top grolsch bottle? I've got a 1.5L and three 0.5L grolsch bottles and want to transfer the last part of one of my kegs to these bottles so I can keep this beer for a while and drink it down the track.

I will still refrigerate the grolsch bottles in storage.

I'm guessing I will have to make sure the beer is already plenty carbonated, then fill the grolsch bottle with c02, then fill bottle using bronco tap, then just cap and hope for the best?

Chuck the bottles in the keg fridge for 10-20 mins, isolate kegs at reg and reduce pressure at reg to 0. Vent keg pressure then open gas line to keg , turn reg up to about 10 kpa. Fill bottles and quickly cap. That's how I do it, I'm sure you will get a few different methods. Important to chill bottles first, reduces foam in bottle when filling. :D

Yep, cold bottles, cold tap (so you must pull half a glass first) and the lowest pressure you can dispense at.

Bottles preferably wet on the inside to reduce foaming.

+1 for all of the above.

I do this all the time, and cold bottles, wet on the inside work best.

I don't fill them with CO2, I just make sure I fill the bottle nicely, the little bit of foam that comes out when I am putting the lid on should purge any air from inside the bottle.

The minimum pressure to dispense with is best, just a trickle if you are patient works best.

Zactly my method.

I do find that if you add a slurp of sanitiser to each bottle and shake you have then sanitised everything and the small amount of liquid helps cool the bottles down faster.

Damn that sounds easier than I thought. Cheers guys.
