was in coles last saturday and noticed this can for the first time ... is it new ?

anyway, bought a can for around $10.50 i think

made up to 22 litres with be1 and used us05 instead of kit yeast, now fermenting

has anyone seen this or brewed it ? how did it turn out ?

this is what the can looks like

it came with just 1 packet under the lid that i threw out, i assume it was the yeast, no dry enzyme unless it was in the malt or in the yeast packet that i tossed

I tried this with the 1kg tooheys liquid sugar. Pretty underwhelming really.
The fact that it was my first keg and the carbonation issues I had didnt help.

Will see how the bottles turned out in a couple of weeks.

Just looking at the photos, I noticed under the ingredients,
"WARNING - CONTAINS MALTED BARLEY"

Any reason for the warning?

p.s. Doesnt' look like this kits' a "low carb" one, REon

I think it's probably a warning for people with Coeliac disease. Hopefully they know there's gluten in barley. Or, even more importantly, that malted barley contains malted barley. :p

mine was kegged a couple of weeks ago, has been chilling and slow carbing on the gas for the last 5 days, and will taste test this weekend, but by the sound of it, i should have something else ready to drink !

Warning: may resemble beer. Slightly.
useless comment. why bother

for Coeliacs I'd say (wheat, barley intolerant).

Obviously not to citymorgue2.

So much so that she felt compelled to PM me with these exact words:

.

Despite the glaring grammatical error, I wonder if the choice of wording was intended to be in child - rhyme?

I cannot find the gagging emoticon to express my dismay at this element of cyber stalking.

CM2, please leave me alone.

I just thought then this could be a good base kit for Mini-Partials and general experimenting, eg. my next Framboise.
It's also $3 cheaper than the canadian blonde so it's worth a try

p.s. Can we please leave the catfights in the back alley. Last thing we want is another banning.
Catch up at the next pubcrawl, call each other a d1ckhead then buy each other a beer. Sorted.

+1

Posting PMs is probably uncool too - even if it feels deserved.

I wish to point out that my +1 was not to be taken as support for the contents of the PM.
