I'm brewing the Tooheys blonde can at the moment. It is about half way fermented. Is there anything I can do to get better taste end result or is it too late

Probably not at this stage.

Next time make a few small changes to tip the scales in your favour.

Sounds like you are an extract brewer, if you are adding simple sugers to the can, I would replace that sugar with another can of unhopped malt
Fermentation control will be your friend. If you can keep your fermentations low in temp you will find the beer improves out of sight. Depending on the yeast strain, 18 degrees is good for an ale, and under 14 is good for a lager.

Changes after that point will depend on what you actually want to achieve with the finished beer.

Good luck.
