The next meeting will be held this Thursday, April 24, at Lynndon Bowls Club, 47 Galsworthy St, Holland Park West. Doors open at 7:30pm for an 8pm start.
This months mini-comp:
Mini Comp No. 3:- Belgian and Farmhouse Ales. At time of entry, beer must be nominated into BABB's beer classes: 8.1 Belgian Pale Ale, 8.2 Belgian Blond Ale, 8.3 Belgian Golden Strong Ale, 8.4 Begian Tripel, 8.5 Belgian Dubbel, 8.6 Belgian Dark Strong, 8.7 Witbier, 8.8 Saison.
Also please remember to bring 2x750ml and 2x330ml bottles of your Sunshine Coast Brewery Yeast experiment beer if applicable. The tallies are to go to PUBS and the stubbies are to go to Sunshine Coast Brewery. Remember to keep some for next month when we'll be doing our tasting session. Labels will be provided on the night, but please be prepared with information about your beer including which yeast you used and what the final gravity was.
Also... in case you don't already have enough to bring.... Entries are due for the Rye Mash Paddle. Brewers may enter up to two different beers that must each contain 20-50% Rye. Each entry should be in a 750ml brown glass or PET bottle, and the recipe must be submitted at the time of entry.
On the night there will be 3 separate locations clearly signed for the 3 different sets of bottles. Please help us to not get everything confused otherwise PUBS will be wondering why our yeast turned an ESB into a Belgian Quad, Sunshine Coast brewery will wonder how they ended up with rye in the mash and Archive will be confused as to why all the mash paddle entries taste similar but subtly different.
As always, Visitors are welcome. Bring along a few of your beers to share and compare, just keep them away from the other bottles.
