All to do with the copious amount of rain we had last week. The West End Brewery has, on the banks of the Torrens, for years put on a Christmas Lights display, parts of which was the "whale" (what on earth this has to do with christmas I dont know).
Anyway the river rose very quickly with all of the rain, and washed the poor whale off its mounts and down the river, it sunk eventually about 3 km down the river.
Coopers were just taking the mickey on the weekend, but I dont know what the original add said
