My wife is the same all I get is its OK,Had a hefe the other day she loved it,I said can you get bannana she replied I get beer, she wants me to brew her a beez neez, she likes jsga but I think its the drinking out of the bottle thing,We had a beez neez on tap and I got that look again and it wasnt even my beer.

My wife has been know to utter "I love beer" usually followed closely by "I love rugby" and then normally "I love cheese". Then sometimes she gets round to me.

She even said the other week "have you thought about doing that postgraduate course in brewing at ballarat uni?"

I did pretty well :D

This is a good point, isnt it funny how most beer tastes very similair out of the bottle?

"tastes like beer to me"

Yeah, my gf does the same. A beer reeks of peaches, so I get her to smell...smells like beer. I get a wine that smacks you in the face with plum...smells like wine.

A beer that smells of peaches is still a beer, and a wine that smells of plums is still a wine, so she's not wrong!

Forgot to add, mine is semi accepting/supportive...

She will roll her eyes whenever I spend a largish volume of money on a single purchase (i.e. my Urn) but all I have to do is send her to the local bottle-o to get me a 6pk of something semi decent...

$17 later, she stops complaining...

I have my hobbies (HB, and wet shaving, that's another hobby where you can collect heaps....) she has hers (body modification, knitting, sewing basically anything that involves the word "needle" it seems....)

Yeah i get lucky with the beers, SWMBO prefers beer over wine in some instances which is good. Loves anything highly hopped or american C hopped.

She isn't interested in Stouts or Porters which is a shame around winter as thats what i prefer to brew/drink for that season. She is also very supportive of the hobby and assists when shes around on brewdays/tastings. But as already noted by some, she thinks i spend to much time on 'beer forums' :p

 bahaha, bloody girls

I don't mean the girly type, more the random type, her ears have two tunnels each, one 8mm, the other 3mm.....

My plan for next weekend is going for a drive with a friend of mine to get ingredients and some cubes on Saturday, then spending that evening doing my first AG...

Her plan is to do nothing on Saturday then go and be suspended from hooks placed under the skin on her shoulders on Sunday....

Is she testing out your pulley system for BIAB?!?!

That's a point..... if I ever do install one I can hang her from it for a test run.....No way will I ever mash 50kg+ of grain....

I am refusing to go to said suspension session.....I have issues with other peoples blood.. :icon_vomit:

Actually, I lie, she did steal a near full schooner of Unibroue Maudite I left on the bench when I went to change the little ones nappy, I returned to an empty glass and the question of "Could you brew something like that??"

Sounds like she has great taste in beer, get her to try Unibroue Trois Pistoles

Im always reminded though that I spend too much time on AHB...

Oh, I get that all the time..... but my partner is ok with my new obsession hobby, even if it all 'tastes like beer' to her.

She did try the Trois Pistoles, and the La Fin Du Monde...

She liked them all, and now I have been told to try and replicate them....

Wish me luck, I'll damn well need it.

My wife hates beer... But doesn't mind me having an obsession hobby. She does take an interest in the fruits of my water purification machine on the other hand...

Mrs Mellie is more of a beer snob than I am - won't drink many commercial beers.

A licence to brew - now if I only had the time.

My wife helps to drink all my beers... well at least she used to until she got pregnant. Now I've got it all to myself! :chug:

my wife likes beer as much as i like shopping

judging by the other posts i scanned we should start a support group. oh wait, i think we are already in one!!

No wife or girlfriend here, but a uni story of the 'one that got away'. Long story short, this awesome chick was in the dorm room next to mine. Worked at a bar downtown, always happy to put a double-shot into your drink for nix with a smile and a story of how drunk you were the next morning. Level headed, cute as a button etc etc. Oh wait...

...and she loves beer!

Seriously rethinking last year, may have to make a cameo appearance at some of the up and coming uni events. Get reaquainted, so to say...

Dont let her see that! Remember, it's until 'WE' got pregnant. Unless shes upset about not drinking your beer then its until 'YOU' made her pregnant!
