I'm planning on a Bavarian or Hefe as the next (or sometime next) brew and I've got a stash of Styrian in the freezer.

Will it work?

I'd usually go for Tett or similar, but Styrian is also noted for its spiceyness.

The current plan is:

60/40 Wheat / Pilsner
?g/L Styrian @ 60min to get to ~12 IBU
White Labs WLP380

So... yes, no, or go ahead and report back?

Styrians should work well.

The yeast will dominate the flavours and aromas rather than a small 60min addition so shouldn't be an issue either way.
