I bought a heap of gear I don't need ages ago and have some surplus I want to jettison.
The first item is a converted keg, well actually two welded together.
It has a rubber ring on the top and a clamp that screws down to seal it.
It will hold about 70L and could easily be converted to keggle or mash tun.
If you want it for a mash tun I have some perforated mesh you can put in it.
I have never used it.
I am just south of Port Macquarie.
I'll take $75 for it and you can pick it up.

I also have my old faithful mash tun ready to go.
i have made about 2000L of beer with this, easily capable of triple batches (60L)
includes false bottom, copper pickup tube, ball tap, dial thermometer, insulation and 'custom' foam lid.
Ready to use, looking for $150 for this one.

Last item at the moment is my old keggle.
It will boil 70L no worries, this was my fermenter for four years prior to becoming a keggle.
Needs a few fittings for the pickup as I have used them elsewhere, there is a 1/2" threaded stainless collar there ready to screw into.
You can have the tap and the burner. I used a brass T piece and a 90 degree off the T with two stainless scourers to filter the hops out.
This has done as much work as the mash tun.
The four ring burner is included, but needs a bbq gas regulator.
I will try to find one for it.
I am after $150 for the keggle and burner.
Once again, I am at Herons Creek just south of Port Macquarie.

If you look to the left of the picture you will see a big drill press.
I put a bit of wood in it and a bell to cap bottles with.
If you want a novelty sized capper, you can have it for $20

Wow, pretty good deal.

Too far for me to go though. :(

that welded 70L keggle looks bloody good, so does the mashie, someones going to get a great deal.

Got any scrap stainless laying around? Say a 5cmx5cm piece? I need a price to weld over a hole.

Happy to pay of course

PS nice blingy brew porn. And to those considering buying any if the above, the stainless steel wool works well. I tried it this weekend as a change and it did a great job.

Where you are, go to a local steel fab guy that does stainless. They will have a bin full of bits. I get a fair bit of stuff this way.

Hi i have been a lurker for a while.......

any chance your headed towards SYDney and could bring this along with you?

pay a bit extra if your coming this way :)

Hi all,
Thanks for all the repsonses, I got a bit lost in all the requests and whatever.
Apologies for that.
I haven't sold any of the gear and wish to simplify the deal for myself.
I have the jointed keg fermenter. Qns were asked for better pics, I haven't done that yet and will try tonight.$75
The mash tun, converted 50L keg with brass tap, copper pickup tub and stainless false bottom.
Dial thermometer and insulation along with 'custom' lid. $150
Keggle and 4 ring burner, no reg. Has stainless collars welded in for tap or thermometer if you want. I put a bung in it.
I am happy to get the brass fittings to have it ready to go if you need, $150 as is, $160 with fittings or talk to Beerbelly for stainless.
I also have a stainless 90L electric HLT, was going to keep it but cbf now as I have much bigger gear.
The element should be a 2800W and runs off a 10A plug.
Has a pvc sight guage, not overly pretty but works well, 1/2" threaded outlets in the bottom for temp probe and tap.
Stainless temp probe from the mashmate screws straight in. And works on the element no worries. Very worthwhile getting.
Heats 80L in a few hours. I put the element I bought new a few years ago. It is for a hot water unit. I put it in and covered it with tape and insulation. It is a bit dodgey and you should get a sparky to check it for you.
Anyway, I want $150 for this baby as well
I would like to sell it as a job lot, so lets add it up, $75+$150+$150+150 = $525 for a working AG setup that punches out 60L batches.
I also have a fridge that needs a new seal. Fridge works, seal is $60 odd. I will forward the details of the guy in Newcastle that makes them.
You need to build the brew stand. I used clip together shelves from the big green shed for 3 years.
To sweeten the deal, on the Anzac weekend saturday I am driving from Port Macquarie through Sydney to the South Coast somewhere near Berry.
Then I am heading down the coast past the Vic border on the Sunday.
Then on to Melbourne on the Monday.
I will be in Tas on the tuesday and doing a lap of the map of Tas in my ute. Would prefer not to cart the fridge that far though.
I should be able to drop off on the way. Food for thought.
I want the transaction to be easy for me so I don't want to break it up and the prices I think are pretty good.

That is great value. I love your fermenter by the way. You could probably fit that in a fridge too. Awesome.

As Groucho was first in way back and is KEEN for the fermenter (2kegs welded together) its his.
I will separate that in the spirit of AHB enthusiasm.
The rest is still there, $450 drive away.

Thanks

If it gets to the point where you can't get rid of it all in one go, I'm still keen for the mash tun. Perhaps if there are others in or around Sydney who are interested in the other gear, we can arrange a single drop off point for you and then distribute it amongst ourselves (making life a bit simpler for you).

As I said though, I guess this only counts if you can't offload it in one hit....

All yours.

Thanks all for your interes,
Currently Groucho has the fermenter, captainbrewer has the kettle and burner and sgc7of7 has the mash tun.
I still have the HLT.
I also have a (approx) 10L electric urn. I got it for free so whoever picks it up gets it free too.
I have never plugged the ******* in so it may or may not work.
It is free though.

Damn it, why couldn't I be visiting the folks in Kempsey this week instead of a few weeks back?? I'd grab that urn straight away, and consider the HLT too....
