I've been collecting some gear recently with the intention of restarting AG. Today was a massive score at a bargain price. I have been able to obtain some brand-new equipment (ie: never used and purchased originally during Covid) at a price that was unmissable and on my doorstep. It is mostly still in factory and shipping boxes (double boxed) and sealed shipping bags. There is some stuff missing that the seller is going to try to find from within their storage unit for me, so I believe there may be more to come. The missing stuff is for what I think should be a 7-gallon SS Brewtech Brew bucket but let's not worry about that.

So that aside, I now have a brand new Kegland Digiboil 65 (with Reflux Still and dome lid) and an SS Brewtech Brew Bucket 14. I'm not too worried about the Still part of it. Both of these units are fully complete, as shipped by the supplier. I've checked it all off from the "Included Items list" and it's all there. I also have, supposedly, the FTSs 14 Gallon Brew Bucket kit, also complete as shipped in the appropriately marked shipping box. It is also complete as listed. The problem is that the lid provided with this FTSs kit does not fit the 14 Gallon Brew Bucket. It is smaller in diameter.

The lid for the 14 G Brew Bucket only has the one punched hole for the air lock bung. The lid provided for the 14 G FTSs kit has the extra holes for the chiller coil and included long thermowell, but it is too small for the 14 G Brew Bucket. It is halfway between the 14 G lid and the 7 G lid from the missing Brew Bucket. (I have the lid from the 7G, along with other bits like the box.)

I've been looking at the SS Brewtech site and I can't see any lids or Brew Buckets in between the 14 and 7, but I appear to have one and it doesn't fit. Is anybody familiar with these products or have any idea what I may have here? The SS Brewtech website was not useful for me to determine what I actually have here.

I have found the problem. After looking at the delivery labels, and researching part numbers etc, I have found that the FTSs2 kit is for the 14 Gallon Chronicle, and not the 14 Gallon Brewmaster Brew Bucket. It appears the Chronical has a 15" lid and the BB has a 17" lid. I suspect that the Neoprene jacket, and heat pad provided with the kit will also be mismatched.

So, it looks like the original owner has ordered the Brew Bucket from ***** Brew, Qld and the FTSs2 kit from ******** NZ (or ******** Australia and shipped from NZ). They have ordered the wrong kit.

I will check to see if the jacket and heater fit the bucket. If they do the existing lid can have suitable holes cut to accept the cooling coil and thermowell. Either that or I may be able to source the correct jacket and lid, but so far, my research has not shown that this will be an easy thing to do here in Aus.
