Put down a three can RIS today and I've just realised I stuffed up big time. I forgot to boil the wort after steeping the grain. It was pitched onto trub of another brew + 3 kit yeasts. It is bubbling away already after 6 hours. I guess I just have to wait and taste it.
 
Might be an interesting beer either way...
 
If you steeped at 70 degrees its more likely that you have killed enough nasties that the good yeasties will out compete them completely.
 
if it tastes like your grandad's underpants, leave it sit. they always come good in the end. it can take a year on a bad one, but they come good.
