Has anyone lost this snake?

tractor_snake.jpg

I found it trying to hot-wire my tractor. It must only be a beginner at this, because the keys were still in it.

(Ok, what sort of snake is it? Google failed me).

Yep, plain old tree snake.

Better kill it anyway as it seem to be making the evolutionary jump to agriculture.

Was it wearing a small felt hat and flannelette shirt?

No thumbs mate. We're safe.

Looks like a common tree snake to me too.
Always much safer to assume it can kill you, so leave it the hell alone :p

Yeah, I left it alone. Especially with brown-coloured snakes.

Well, I left it alone after I touched it because I didn't see it.

Be careful if there's a mini packet of Winnie Reds in the flannelette shirt. Could be the more dangerous Boganus sub species.
You can tell by lots of mini Commodores and Falcons on blocks around their nest.

He..he..he..

I bet that tickled the old flight or fight response.

Strange time of year to be seeing snakes.
The rain has stopped here and the sun has come out,I have seen 4 brown snakes in the last 3 days,if the snakes are looking for some warmth it must be fecking cold underground .

I had a snake try and steal my tractor....unfortunately he tried to do it internally via the engine head....

Man, that tractor looks like it had leaky valve stem and or piston ring issues.
Along with the snake issues.
That tractor had a broken pre-combustion chamber that rattled around the cylinder bore for god knows how long, but amazingly didnt wreck the piston.

Most of the rings where actually broken and jammed into the piston grooves

It blew more smoke out the engine breather than the exhuast.

It used more oil than diesel

It used large quantities of " Start you Bastard"....actually...in the end I had a spray bottle with thinners in it as it worked out cheaper...

It would boil itself dry and completely seize up, but next day it was good to go..

When I pulled the motor down the crank shaft was in amazingly good condition for a 50yr old tractor. Only needed a .010' & .020" grind undersize. It had never been ground.

Was great old tractor, and old International B414, a true wonder of British engineering. You just could not kill it.

All up it cost $700 for a crank grind, new pistons, liners & seals

Moving out because the authorities were after you?
