Smoker Options - Help?

Hi All,

I'm pretty keen to get some smoker action going. I have a small one, but it's not good for heat control etc. What I do have, however is a built in, hood type BBQ which lies dormant as I use my Webber Silver-C for our BBQ'ing duties.

Any ideas to convert the built in BBQ to a smoker? It's a 'normal' 4 burner gas BBQ, mounted in bricks. Its pretty old and unsanitory but I think with a bit of engenuity I could put it to use. Been in this house for 4 yrs and the previous owner left a chicken wing in there......

Thoughts?

Yep, looked at the Ugly Drum, quite fired up to do that (scuse the pun!) but want to dip my toes in the water with something a little less intrusive! Just to add a bit of info, here's the BBQ I'm talking about.
