I'm planning a barleywine soon and am on the lookout for small bottles. Anyone know a good source full or empty.

Cases of beer without sounding like a smart arse

Small bottles being 330 ml?
Try asking the pubs/ clubs for empties, you would be doing them a favour by taking them.is there is a homebrewers club in Canberra ? Give them a call they may be able to help .
Cheers.....spog...

Spog is on the money.

When I was bottling I got hundreds of 330 ml crown tops from my local pub.

Buy a few pints and ask the publication what he does with his empty bottles. You'll no doubt be back there the next day collecting empty bottles.

Sorry I should clarify I meant bottles that are around 250ml. I'll only be able to brew a half batch and want to be able to taste it over time

Apart from having to invite the in-laws around to drink them, I'd also prefer not to go with twist tops.

Heineken comes in 250ml bottles
not sure if they're twist or crown seal, though

Coronas come in a coronita size which is 210 I think, but then they're clear and have corona labeling.

Well, the water could be used to brew the barleywine..... :)

Never thought of that.. The carbonation wouldn't hurt anything?

They had those Coronitas at Aldi the other day
