I want to do some 1/2 size batches and I wonder about using my GrainFather with a full volume mash.
I do have the small batch pipes, if I were to try this would I need to raise the malt pipe such that the central overflow pipe was just above the surface of the water? That is to get the overflow back to its usual position relative to the top of the mash water.
If you have brewed full volume in a GF please share your experience.
