what ive found is that once your over the 10lb - ~$48 postage point the price increases drastically even though weight and size doesnt increase that much. so you end up being better off ordering in multiple smaller sizes (if possible).

egs sourced from AHB posts. all for USPS frieght
2009 - US$768 for 30lb (taps & shanks)
2009 - US$215 for 26lb (hops)
2010 - US$143 for 20lb (hops)

so for hops, you can see that for 1 box to go from 20 - 26 lb the increase is US$72, but you'd be better off getting a 20lb box and a 6lb box for under $180.

of course its a PITA to work out frieght so sometimes its just easier to let the business your buying from work it out and hope they dont screw u.

~20kg shipped from US is US$740. Fkn rip

I got a huge 21kg package sent via fedex 3-day express for $150 through www.shipito.com just the other day. I've been using them a lot lately.

Beeradvocate subscription for 16 bucks for the year, +US$3 shipping per issue. Not bad, methinks.
